Lucie &/or Martin Counties Definition The Professional
Relations Representative primary responsibility is to educate
physicians and other healthcare providers on the benefits of
hospice services to patients with a life expectancy of six months
or less. Responsible for increasing referrals and admissions for
Treasure Coast Hospice services by developing successful
relationships and educating medical/professional referral sources
within an assigned geographic and/or medical provider area.
Communicate regularly with staff and referral sources to solidify
acceptance and allegiance throughout the service area.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Bachelor---s degree in business, marketing or related field
preferred or a combination of equivalent education or work
experience. Three (3) year---s experience working with physicians
and providers either as a healthcare and/or sales/marketing
professional. Professional sales training desired. Hospice
experience preferred. Must demonstrate professional oral and
written communication skills. Proven sales record required.
Established relationships a plus. Sales and marketing and referral
development through establishing relationships with healthcare
providers--- required. Valid Florida driver---s license, auto
insurance and reliable means of transportation to perform job
duties. Attendance is a condition of employment. Driving to meet
with referral sources. Key Result Areas Responsible for overseeing
the successful operation of the admissions department, including
forecasting and fulfilling referral, admissions and census goals
for the organization based on market data. Pursues new and
maximizes existing referral sources through development of
successful relationships and education of the community and health
care partner (i.e.) HMO---s physicians, nursing homes, assisted
living facilities and hospitals. Evaluates the effectiveness of the
referral process through interviews, periodic meetings and provider
satisfaction surveys of health care and community partners.
Responsible for the performance of the admissions team as measured
by response time, conversion rate, appropriate admissions and
review of patients not take under care (NTUC). Responsible for
developing, monitoring and reporting quality indicators along with
utilization data at the quarterly quality meetings. Secure,
maintain and nurture highly competent, motivated and productive
teams as measured by employee satisfaction surveys, completion of
mandatory education/CEU requirements and on-going development
activities. Assure compliance with federal and state laws and
regulations and policies as measured by complete referral and
accurate admission documentation. Participate as an active
supporter of the Treasure Coast Hospice compliance program,
including an emphasis to report, as well as complying with all
Federal, State and Local laws as well as the organization---s
compliance program. Serve on the organization---s Compliance
Committee quarterly. Fulfill all responsibilities related to the
success of the strategic plan of the organization, as requested and
assigned. OSHA Category Position will be categorized as category
III (involves no routine or potential exposure to blood, body
fluids/tissues). Working Conditions Typing or otherwise working
primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in
handling. Active - Researching organizations and individuals online
(especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential
new markets. Going out to research the needs of other companies and
learning who makes decisions about purchasing. Contacting potential
clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up in
---person meetings Sedentary --- Exerting up to ten pounds of force
occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or
constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects,
including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of
the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required
only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria met. The work is
required to have close visual acuity such as/preparing and
analyzing data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer
terminal; extensive reading. Daily driving across counties.
