We're looking for a strategic legal thinker who can manage the firm's internal legal matters while also serving as a trial-ready litigator for high-stakes commercial cases. You'll be the go-to attorney for both firm-level legal needs (compliance, employment issues, vendor disputes, contracts, etc.) and external client litigation in the commercial/business arena.

Responsibilities:
General Counsel Duties:
--- Advise the executive team on internal legal issues, including employment law, regulatory compliance, contracts, risk management, and dispute resolution.
--- Draft, revise, and negotiate firm agreements (e.g., vendor contracts, NDAs, employment agreements, leases, etc.).
--- Manage and respond to legal claims or inquiries involving the firm.
--- Oversee policies, procedures, and risk mitigation protocols across departments.


Commercial Litigation Duties:
--- Represent clients in business litigation matters, including:
--- Partnership/shareholder disputes
--- Breach of contract
--- Non-compete, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation enforcement
--- Employment defense litigation (wrongful termination, wage disputes, etc.)
--- Business torts and unfair competition
--- Manage caseload from intake through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and depositions.
--- Work closely with clients to develop litigation strategy and ensure exceptional representation.

Qualifications:
--- J.D. from an accredited law school; member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
--- 4+ years of experience practicing law, with proven litigation experience in commercial/business disputes.
--- Strong knowledge of Florida employment law and general corporate matters.
--- In-house counsel or general counsel experience (or equivalent responsibility) is highly preferred.
--- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
--- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
