with us! Job Summary and Qualifications The manager demonstrates
critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in
the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The
Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning,
directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance
with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized
nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and
administrative policies. The Manager of the Emergency Department
manages the operations and activities of the ED Department. Assist
Director of ED with the overall management of the departments
operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity,
and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established.
Responsible for the staff performance and the accomplishment of
departmental responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital,
department, and safety policies and procedures to meet both company
care and regulatory requirements. Responsible for providing
high-quality patient care to and acting as a liaison with patients
and their representative, physicians, employees, and community
agencies. Responsible for the efficient operation of the
departments and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity
and minimize cost. The manager assists the department director as a
leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff
to assure quality service. The manager assists the department
director in meeting The Joint Commission Standards, complying with
corporate policy and procedures, promoting teamwork with physicians
and all health care providers, promoting internal and external
customer satisfaction, and appropriate resource management. What
qualifications you will need: - Current Florida license as
Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to
Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to
ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) - Graduate from an
accredited School of Nursing - Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
(BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date - Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date - Current Pediatric Advance Life Support
(PALS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date - Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP)
certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment
start date - Current Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment
start date - Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment
start date - Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
certification or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
start date - (RN) Registered Nurse - Minimum 2 years of Emergency
Room (ER) clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital
setting - Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/
Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing
Management HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care
hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the
most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood
Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including
open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery,
