opportunity.Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Description:The
Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific
judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the
care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible and
accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing
care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act,
physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies,
procedures, established standards and administrative policies.The
EP (Electrophysiology) RN assists the physician in performing
diagnostic procedures on patients with heart abnormal heartbeat or
arrhythmia. The test is performed while the patient is awake by
inserting catheters and then wire electrodes, which measure
electrical activity within the heart through blood vessels. The RN
closely monitors the patient; administers medication, as needed and
works under the director of the physician.This position typically
is scheduled M - F, 8-hour shifts (or until last patient) and
requires to rotate with the "Call" schedule.In this position - you
will:
- Manage efficient flow of patients including screening and
assessments
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and
medication instructions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with
physician orders What qualifications you will need:
- FL RN Licensure, or
- Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State
Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing
eligibility and duration provisions)
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing
preferred
- Current BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association
or American Red Cross)
- 1 year or more RN Critical Care &/or Cath Lab/EP experience
preferred This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for
COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations
(unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).HCA Florida
