The Nurse Manager is responsible for the standards of care in the
assigned unit. The manager coordinates continuous quality
improvement efforts, manages and is responsible for programming and
all aspects of care given. The manager is responsible for budget
planning, organizing staffing, directing and controlling of all
treatment provided on the assigned unit. The manager works
collaboratively with other disciplines and departments to improve
client care. The manager is responsible for the effective use of
human resources and financial objectives as identified by the
budget. The manager is responsible for the ongoing education of
staff and orientation of new employees, staffing (Payroll/OT).
Must possess a current Florida Registered Nurse license plus two
years supervisory experience or have an LCSW/LMHC. BSN/BAN

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.0 Provides leadership and supervision of nursing staff.
1.1 Applies sound personnel practices in interviewing, selection

2.0 Conducts Employee Performance Management Activities
2.1 Employee Performance Evaluations are completed and submitted in
accordance with established timeframes.
2.2 Position descriptions are reviewed for accuracy.
2.3 Evaluations are reviewed, prior to submission, to ensure all
areas are complete, e.g. signatures, accommodation section,
required attachments, etc.
2.4 Establishes meaningful and measurable performance
