Based out of Fort Pierce, FL, this position is responsible for providing safety assessment and coordination of services for children and families referred by the Department of Children and Families due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment by caregivers.Keywords: child welfare, case management, dependency, human services, social work, social services, social worker, child advocate, family advocate, BSW, MSW, CWCM, CPIEducation:Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university in social work or related area of study. Related degrees include: criminology, juvenile justice, psychology, sociology, counseling, special education, education, human development, child development, family development, marriage and family therapy, or nursing. Will also consider human services and criminal justice with DCF authorization.Other Requirements:Upon hire all Case Managers are required to obtain certification as a Child Protection Professional with 12 months. CWCM a plus.Valid FL State Issued Driver's LicenseWork schedule hours will be a core Monday - Friday, dayshift; however flexibility to work outside of regular business hours is required including evenings and weekends due to the needs of the clients.
