Job Description:
LHH is working with a client who is looking to add an Accounting
Manager to their team in Fort Pierce. This individual will direct
and have responsibility for the maintenance of the company---s
accounting records and managing and overseeing the daily operations
of the accounting department. Responsibilities Works with and
manages an accounting team of 3-4 people in areas of accounting,
accounts payable and accounts receivable. Supervises the daily
activities in the accounting department, analyze, record, track and
audit financial information and manage accounting staff members.
Hiring, training, and motivating accounting staff members while
supervising and delegating department tasks. Evaluating,
developing, and improving department controls, systems, and
procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency. Overseeing the
daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all
major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed
accurately and on time. Ensuring that all accounting processes
align with GAAP. Analyzing financial data and creating reports for
management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or
lenders. Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and
participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed. Oversees
compliance with corporate accounting policies and control systems.
Timely closing of financial books and records each month and
reporting against forecast and prior year. Assist in planning and
forecasting of costs and cash flow. Oversees and audits accounts
payable and payments and assigns duties as appropriate Oversees and
audits accounts receivable process and assigns duties as
appropriate. Sales/Use and Property tax responsibility including
annual reporting. Works closely with CEO, CFO, President and COO to
aid in the decision making processes and provides ad-hoc analysis
as required Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
Manufacturing/distribution experience is a plus Strong ERP
experience (Oracle / NetSuite preferred) Excellent financial
reporting skills with thorough understanding of GAAP Strong
communication skills both oral and written. High level of
efficiency and accuracy Ability to set priorities, be flexible and
manage multiple projects simultaneously. If you are interested in
