QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY MANAGERExcellent opportunity for a

authentic juice company.Fast growing juice company located in Fort
Pierce Florida is seeking an experienced Quality and Food Safety
Manager with 5+ years of prior experience in beverage or dairy
manufacturing.The Quality Systems & Food Safety Manager is
responsible for the implementation and execution of Quality
Management and Food Safety Systems at the plant level, including
distribution storage facilities. This position is responsible for
the controls and processes in the plant, through strict adherence
to policies, specifications, and standards. Utilizes methods,
tools, and procedures to deliver zero defects from incoming raw
materials to outgoing finished goods in a food safe environment.
The position ensures that facility personnel are properly resourced
and trained to efficiently and effectively execute their quality
responsibilities. The position has significant managerial
responsibilities, including hiring and developing talent as well as
departmental budget management.Key Components of the role
include:Leads and implements all Food Safety and Quality
programsEnsure USDA and FDA regulations compliance and acts as
primary interface with regulatory representativesMaintain robust
food safety and quality program including HACCP, pest control, GMP
s and traceability, raw and finished product specifications,
labeling compliance, allergen management and environmental
monitoring programsEnsure compliance of Sanitation policies,
programs, and proceduresEnsure compliance and audit readiness for
SQF, regulatory and customer auditsMaintain Quality KPIsManage and
maintain plant quality and microbiology lab to ensure all methods,
equipment and measurements meet reliability and repeatability
standards and maintains, trends and communicates resultsAssists
with R&D and engineering projects through design and
commercialization phasesEnsures compliance with customer
requirements (specifications), quality and food safety requirements
and incorporates into the facility quality and food safety control
planEnsure compliance to the control plan to deliver Food Safety,
Regulatory, and Critical characteristics of a product or
processSupports execution of plant trials for both new products and
equipment commissioning Track, report, and review the Quality
Performance Indicators on a regular basis to drive continuous
improvement. Owns customer/consumer complaint investigation and
resolutionDevelop, implement and communicate effective product hold
& containment program to ensure appropriate control of quality/food
safety defects.Escalate early warnings of defects and
non-compliance to senior managementEnsure Corrective Action Reports
are utilized and effective and are implemented and verifiedCoach
and develop all plant leaders in quality and food safetyDirect
management and development of quality and laboratory
staffRequirements:BS Food Science/Microbiology/Chemistry or other
relevant sciencesMinimum of 5 years of Quality Management
experienceSQF PractitionerPCQI CertificationHACCP certificationIf a
candidate is qualified but not certified we would participate in
getting their certification.
