Additional Description
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Growing Structural Engineering firm looking for highly motivated Structural Professional Engineer to fill a permanent opening. This position supports a team of Structural Engineers servicing Florida. The successful person will perform structural analysis and design, computer modeling and calculations, client interaction, and develop drawing files for buildings and other structures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities --- Lead structural design --- Train, coach or mentor members of the project team --- Coordinate and communicate with Architects/Designers, Truss Manufacturers, MEP Trades, General Contractors and Field Project Managers --- Perform structural analysis of frame and masonry building components including foundations, wall and roof structures, evaluating loading cases --- Support in the development of construction drawings and specifications --- Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for project.
--- Attends meetings with coordinating parties to resolve structural complexities --- Manage project schedules --- Researches/Reviews code and permitting requirements for project sites.
Qualifications & Requirements:* Must already have or can obtain a FL P.E. license within 3 months of employment--- 4 -8 years' experience related to structural/residential engineering work --- Motivated to develop engineering leaders and evolve the engineering professionKnowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASC, AISC and ACI --- Ability to communicate with all levels of professionals --- Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence --- Experience with multiple structural design software --- General knowledge of the construction industry --- Working knowledge/experience with CAD drafting programs as well as structural design software and advanced Excel --- Strong verbal, written and communication skills
