Job Description:

Our client, a Florida-based energy provider, is looking for a Controller to add to their growing team. This is a hands-on position that reports directly to the CFO. This director level position operates onsite in Fort Pierce, FL. Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 Responsibilities: Understanding and promotion of business best practices and revision and implementation of parallel accounting practices and internal controls Establishing and maintaining relationships with managers and leaders throughout the organization Completing forecasts and budgets Analyzing the financial impact of transactions and proposed transactions Managing daily banking and investments Assisting with various business questions and transactions Leading monthly financial statement closing and internal reporting Preparing tax filings in coordination with paid preparers and internal staff General ledger control and administration Resolving complex accounting issues and recommending action Coordinate external audit and functioning as the primary contact for independent auditors Special projects as needed Qualifications: Degree in Accounting Minimum 8 years professional experience, including 4 supervising staff Public accounting experience preferred, but not required Strong leadership and technical accounting skills Understanding of overall business processes, accounting controls Previous experience as a member of a management team If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
